#03 Mathias Crestani for FLAT shop Spotify Playlist

For episode 3 of our playlists, we are excited to present a musical selection curated by Mathias Crestani. Mathias is a long-time friend and an industry insider for over 30 years, with vast experience in streetwear distribution companies.

Together, in 2008, we created the Bottomsfly night, a one-off event featuring disco, funk, Italo disco, early house, and 80s dance music that enlivened the alternative scene in Macerata, with DJ Chiskee from Perugia joining us only at the beginning. Mathias's passion for music and his vinyl collection were fundamental to the success of this event, which left its mark before the pandemic changed everything.

For this new playlist, Mathias has selected a wide range of sounds that reflect the same eclectic energy of Bottomsfly. The selection includes tracks like "This Place" by Mali-I featuring Natty Wylah, which brings a touch of British alternative hip hop, and "I'm Ready for Dancing" by Ronald Langestraat, with its soul-jazz groove that immediately transports you into a retro atmosphere. "Pleasure" by General Lee adds a nostalgic note, while "Danger" by Pylon introduces an experimental rock energy. Finally, "Fiction" by Philippe Chany, with its hint of French soundtracks, closes the circle with elegance.
